The School-University Research Network (SURN) began in 1994 as a partnership of William & Mary School of Education with Virginia K-12 school divisions to conduct relevant research and provide professional development in order to promote quality teaching and learning. Today, 30 Virginia school divisions actively participate in SURN through providing access to their schools, faculty, and students for research and participating in free and discounted professional development programs created to address needs identified by SURN-partnered Superintendents.
SURN is also a contributing member of the Virginia is for Learners Innovation Network.
This blog is an outreach effort by SURN to spark conversation, share leadership lessons, and to disseminate resources and research findings from programs developed within the partnership.
